I prefer smaller gardens because they can take your breath away as you walk through them. Victorian, shabby chic, perennial beds full of flowers, vignettes, pathways, a rose garden, concrete birdbaths, arbors covered with blooming vines and climbers and a charming porch for entertaining. Containers overflowing with trailing blossoms. Fragrance! Don’t forget the long-blooming mammoth sweet peas that will bloom until October as long as you keep fertilizing, keep their feet wet and deadhead stem and all.
I can’t wait to plant lettuce, cabbage, parsley and herbs in raised beds and window boxes. Can you tell I’m ready for spring to be here?
Planning new gardens is all I want to do. Happy spring to all!
