Retired in 2015, Jeff Stelmach is a self-taught baker who only since the pandemic became interested in yeast-based breads. Because of the lockdown, he has developed an interest in finding and preparing a repertoire of recipes at home after learning that some prepared dishes did not travel well from restaurant to home. He has a new found appreciation for vegetable growing, canning and understanding how ingredients combine to create memorable meals for all types of palates. The philosophy that “living to eat” as opposed to “eating to live” is an admirable quality.
