Fabulous Baths 2025

Fabulous Baths 2025These pages of brilliant baths are filled with inspiring ideas (and incredible photographs) that will have you rethinking the form and function of your own baths. We’re highlighting styles ranging from quiet and modern to timelessly traditional. But, they all have one thing in common — dazzling touches that turn a simple bathroom into a private escape.

Fabulous Baths 2025A Luxurious Makeover

Creekside Cabinet & Design

This home is 30 years old, and the primary bathroom was dated. It lacked storage and the jetted tub was defunct, so the homeowner used the tub to store linens and towels. The design and lighting were also poor, and the floor heat didn’t work.

After four years of living with these deficiencies, the homeowners found the right solutions for the half-round, oversized room. They shopped for their own materials and supplies, the lighting and the new cabinetry that provides copious storage.

Fabulous Baths 2025They selected a small, round jetted tub that could be placed in the middle of the bathroom so they could move around it. The husband designed and built two rotating lit mirrors for the “his” and “her” sinks, which are now located in front of the windows. Each mirror has a hidden medicine cabinet.

The project took five months to complete, and the couple love the look of their new bathroom and feel like they’re at a five-star hotel. Their advice is, “Take your time and research all the details before embarking. Everything costs more than originally thought.”

Fabulous Baths 2025Refreshing and Upgrading an Outdated Space

Creative Countertops, Inc.

Michael and Tracie Waxman wanted to update their bathroom, including replacing old, outdated fixtures and cabinets with small, dark and poorly lit spaces. They also wanted to add a roll-in shower and a steam shower.

The couple hired Smallwood Design and Construction to plan the project to their specs, estimate the costs and carry out the remodel. Smallwood’s Paul DeJong and Sami Sunitsch also helped with the selection of the cabinet material, size, layout, surface tiles and materials, windows and plumbing. Creative Countertops worked on the tile and surfaces.

Before selecting the materials, the Waxmans, DeJong and Sunitsch visited multiple tile and countertop, flooring and cabinet stores in Seattle, Kitsap County and New York City. The four had multiple discussions and consultations to help make the final decisions.

The homeowners are very happy with the results. Their favorite part is the triple faucet shower with a sitting bench and steam shower. They also love the large soaker tub and the heated floor.

Fabulous Baths 2025Complete Renovation

Kitsap Kitchen & Bath Co.

This bathroom had a leaking shower and needed overall updates. Kitsap Kitchen and Bath handled everything from design to demolition and build. The complete renovation includes new flooring, shower, tub, walls, toilet and vanity.

The homeowners selected countertops, tile, cabinetry and flooring from the Kitsap Kitchen and Bath showroom. The fixtures, toilet and bathtub were purchased from Keller Supply.

The clients are fully satisfied. They love everything, and especially the large shower, enclosed water closet room, vanity and freestanding tub.

Fabulous Baths 2025A Modern Retreat

WRK Construction

This 20-year-old bathroom looked tired and lacked storage. The homeowners wanted to create a functional bath they could grow old in, including a zero-threshold shower and grab bars. They hired WRK Construction to bring their vision to reality and Cheryl Bloom to assist in material selection.

The shower was expanded and changed to zero-step, with a built-in bench and integration with soaking tub. Additions and upgrades included floor-to-ceiling cabinets, heated flooring, pullout drawer with outlets, lighted niche and medicine cabinets and toe-kick lighting. The couple visited showrooms and consulted with Bloom to select all their materials and fixtures.

Fabulous Baths 2025The homeowners love walking into their new bath and feeling like they’ve entered a spa retreat. The new space sets the tone for beginning and ending every day. Their advice is, “Patience and flexibility are key, as well as the attention to details.”

Fabulous Baths 2025A Clean, Modern Look

The Hopes felt their bathroom was dated. The corner bathtub was taking up too much space, and it was too difficult to clean or get near the windows that surrounded it. The sinks were starting to stain. The shower was dingy, and they suspected they had a mold issue from the shower and the toilet area. The couple also wanted the carpet replaced with new flooring and a pocket door installed in the very small toilet area to make cleaning much easier.

They hired Harbor Kitchen and Bath + Countertops, who designed the bathroom, fabricated and installed a vanity countertop and waterfall edge and served as the general contractor. The company’s interior designer assisted the Hopes with the layout of the bathroom and rendering so they could see what the bathroom would look like before any work started.

The tub was no longer in use and needed removal to create a larger shower. A grab bar was added for aging in place. The outdated and impractical carpet was replaced with tile, and the lighting was updated to make the space brighter and the ceiling fan quieter.

Fabulous Baths 2025The homeowners visited the Harbor Kitchen and Bath showroom to select their sinks, countertop, tile and other materials. They supplied their own shower and sink fixtures and selected a rain head and a separate hand shower.

Their favorite part of the new bathroom is the clean, modern look of the space. The Hopes are happy with the remodel, sharing, “Each time we walk into the bathroom, we are so impressed with the clean, modern look of the shower, the new sinks and faucets, the fact that there is no tub in the room, the new flooring is easy to maintain, and we got the pocket door we wanted. In addition, the remodel was finished within weeks. The team worked six days a week once it was started and there were no long delays in between, like our neighbors have experienced with their contractors.”

The experts at Harbor Kitchen and Bath + Countertops note that it’s important to understand the needs of the individuals using the bathroom when designing a remodel — their age, mobility and height. Future plans to sell the home should also be considered. Many homeowners remodel because they want a “forever home” where they can age in place, and the project needs to accommodate for those desires.

Fabulous Baths 2025Open Space with a Spa Feel

Catherine Shively Interior Design

The owners wanted an updated, simple and fresh-feeling master bathroom with a spa ambiance. They hired Catherine Shively for the interior design and Hammerhead Contractors as the main contractor to provide installation and subcontractors as needed.

The bathroom had many changes. They no longer wanted a bathtub, only a walk-in shower with more room to towel-dry and get ready for the day. Better lighting and a heated floor were also provided, along with a teak bench for sitting, a glass shower and more room to move within the bathroom area.

Fabulous Baths 2025To ensure the spa feel, the selected materials needed to be light in color and the paint color needed to be warm and calming rather than trendy, providing a seaside look. The glass shower became the focal point, along with the windows that provide natural light. The darker color of the fixtures created contrast for interest, which added a punch of color.

The homeowners love the results, especially their new shower and the open area for movement.

Shively advises, “When preparing for a bathroom remodel, keep in mind storage, ADA upgrades for the future and the opportunity for a heated floor and how the lighting is installed around the vanity to prevent shadows. It makes a difference.”

Fabulous Baths 2025A Small Refresh Made the Difference

Works Granite & Stone

Judy and Marc Williamson wanted a new look for their bathroom. The counter used the same beige tile as the floor, which wasn’t their favorite color. But the big deciding factor was when they saw a granite slab at Works Granite & Stone.

“I love green, and I saw this as a beautiful and functional solution to the problem,” Judy Williamson said.

Williamson provided the design. There was enough granite to take it from the top of the counter to the ceiling and on the side walls, enhancing the granite’s dramatic look.

Williamson also selected the materials, including lighting, hardware, faucets and décor items. She already had a sink on hand that she purchased previously for remodeling another home but hadn’t arrived in time for that project. The original cherry cabinetry and the tile remained.

The Williamsons love the granite countertop. Another favorite part is the opportunity to use the sink they selected previously.

“Working with Works Granite was a pleasure,” Williamson said. “I highly recommend them.”
