The Kitsap Building Association & the Kitsap County Association of REALTORS® recently hosted a legislative bus tour that brought together elected officials from the state, county, and local levels to visit construction sites across Kitsap County.
The goal of the tour was to provide policymakers with a firsthand look at the challenges and opportunities facing the residential building industry. By touring active and planned housing sites, officials were able to engage directly with builders and housing experts, gaining valuable insight into issues such as permitting delays, infrastructure needs, housing affordability, and the policies that impact project feasibility.
The event fostered productive conversations and emphasized the importance of collaborative, solution-oriented approaches to addressing the region’s growing housing needs.
