Leadership Kitsap hosted the 20 Under 40 Awards Program at the Kitsap Conference Center in January, recognizing 20 exceptional business and civic leaders under the age of 40 who are making a great impact in business, philanthropy and their communities. Carli Meurs, executive director, welcomed guests. Keynote speaker was Alex Sowby-Kidder, operations director at North Kitsap Fishline, with master of ceremonies Ariel McDermott. Presenters of honorees were Matt Augsperger and Karisha Stanley. Signature program sponsors were Port Madison Enterprises, Olympic College, The Point Casino & Hotel, Kitsap Regional Library Foundation, Kitsap Mental Health Services and Liberty Bank. Live music was by Joel Gibson, Jr.
