Hundreds of community members came out to celebrate and support youth at the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound’s annual Treasure Hunters Dinner & Auction in October. Hosted at Admiral Theatre in Bremerton, the event raised over $175,000 in support of youth from the Bremerton, North Mason and South Kitsap Boys & Girls Clubs.
Emcee Stacy Doré kicked off an entertaining program dedicated to longtime supporter Bob Murphy. Former mayor of Bremerton, Cary Bozeman, presented this year’s Jerry & Nancy Reid Community Spirit Award to the Bremerton Fire Department. Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound youth performers charmed the audience with their rendition of “You’ve Got a Friend In Me,” and thanks to a generous contribution by Comcast, each youth performer received a new laptop. The Boys & Girls Clubs 2024 Youth of Year, Riya Richardson, wowed and inspired guests with her message on the importance of community and her hopes for the future.
