Washington State is gifted with almost 45,000 registered and legit not-for-profit organizations. Their missions are wide ranging, but all attempt to address a significant community need, often relying completely on donor funding and an active cadre of community volunteers to do so.

For many residents, the nonprofit world can seem like a confusing, amorphous bag of missions, volunteers, fundraising, staff and activities, often seeming to overlap. But these groups provide or supplement essential and usually underfunded resources, direct services and programs that address critical community needs, bringing added value to their service areas and hope to those who need it most.

  • Acting as a catalyst for charitable giving to Kitsap Regional Library
  • Effectively stewarding the assets entrusted by donors to Kitsap Regional Library for the benefit of the community
  • Fostering lasting relationships earned by Kitsap Regional Library through exceptional service
  • Amplifying the voice of Kitsap Regional Library to the community by engaging a broad network of community support, including donors and volunteers

“Kitsap Regional Library is a cornerstone of our community, providing essential ‘third places’ where individuals can come together, exchange ideas, access resources and nurture social connections,” say Carrie Eastman, Kitsap Regional Library Foundation board president. “Funds raised through the foundation supplement and strengthen the public’s investment in the library, ensuring our community has continued access to the programs, resources and spaces they rely on.”
