Great Peninsula Conservancy’s 2024 Conservation Celebration was a night dedicated to honoring achievements in environmental stewardship and community engagement at the scenic Kiana Lodge.
The event commenced with a welcome from Suquamish Tribal Chairman Leonard Forsman, emphasizing the importance of protecting the region’s natural landscapes. This sentiment resonated throughout the evening, underscored by Executive Director Nathan Daniel’s address. He outlined GPC’s mission across three core pillars: conservation, stewardship and community engagement, showcasing significant achievements such as the acquisition of the 183-acre Tahuya River Preserve and ongoing stewardship efforts across 70 preserves in Kitsap, north Mason and west Pierce counties.
