A new musical tribute is set to ignite the Roxy stage on June 28 with “For the Love of Quincy!” — an electrifying celebration of the legendary career of Quincy Jones. Spearheaded by acclaimed musician and bandleader Bobby Medina, this production brings Jones’ legacy to life through a blend of world-class music, storytelling and immersive visuals. The public is invited to join the Jones family and community leaders celebrate Jones’ musical journey.
The show will feature the 17-member Quincy Jones Square Celebration Orchestra and a lineup of renowned guest artists including Alvin Chea (Take 6), Oya (David Foster, Brian McKnight), Reggie Goings and Jay Mabin. Together, they will take the audience on a captivating journey through Jones’ most iconic musical moments — spanning his early days as a visionary jazz arranger to his era-defining collaborations with Michael Jackson.

“For the Love of Quincy!” is more than a concert. It’s a full-scale multimedia experience that captures the energy, innovation and soul that define Jones’ enduring impact on music, culture and generations of artists. The event promises to move, inspire and entertain — delivering a once-in-a-lifetime musical experience for fans of all ages.

Originally from Los Angeles, Medina is a dynamic trumpeter, bandleader and producer whose career has taken him to stages around the world. He has performed with musical legends such as Ray Charles, Mel Tormé, the Four Tops, Frankie Valli, Wynonna Judd and the Temptations, to name just a few.

Known for his vibrant and engaging stage presence, Medina’s shows are a unique blend of artistry, global musical culture, multimedia and fascinating insights drawn from his one-of-a-kind experiences in the music industry. His performances do more than entertain — they enlighten and spread happiness, one concert at a time.
Bremerton was the city where young Quincy Jones first discovered music. Quincy Square is a revitalization project, honoring Jones with focused arts, entertainment and music. The late Jones affirmed his support for the project.
The city of Bremerton and Downtown Bremerton Association will host a grand opening celebration for Quincy Square on July 12 and 13 including a formal ribbon cutting ceremony.
