As many know, pollinators are crucial to healthy local ecosystems and on Jan. 24 and Feb. 19, the City of Poulsbo is hosting classes at its Recreation Center on how to transform one’s backyard into a pollinator haven.

Kathryn Owen, an ambassador for the Xerces Society of Invertebrate Conservation, will teach attendees about the types of native pollinators, their life cycles, habitat needs, and how to plan for creating one’s very own pollinator garden.

The class is for adults only and costs $25 to attend. Sign up or learn more here.
