Get ready for a captivating weekend of true crime. West Sound Crime, in collaboration with the Admiral Theatre, Liberty Bay Books, Bainbridge Performing Arts and the Harbor History Museum, presents its inaugural event series, August 1-3, 2025.
The schedule includes:
- Friday, Aug. 1, 2 p.m.: “True crime addict” James Renner presents at the Manchester Library on his true crime book, “Scout Camp.”
- Friday, Aug. 1, 7 p.m.: Bestselling Kitsap author Gregg Olsen discusses his new book, “Out of the Woods,” with Andrea Dunlop at Bainbridge Performing Arts’ theater. “Out of the Woods” explores the Idaho murder and kidnapping case of Shasta and Dylan Groene. Dunlop, a Seattle author and podcaster, hosts the true crime podcast Nobody Should Believe Me and wrote “The Mother Next Door.”
- Saturday, Aug. 2: Join other crime and forensic fans for multiple events across the Kitsap Peninsula. Hear from Rebecca Morris (“Boy Missing”) at Kitsap Regional Library (Silverdale, 2 p.m.), Anne Jaeger (“The Rule of Crime”) at the Gig Harbor History Museum (4 p.m.) and crime novelist D.D. Black at Olalla Bay Market (5 p.m.).
- Saturday, Aug. 2, 7 p.m.: The Admiral Theatre in Bremerton is the venue for “PNW Unsolved,” a panel discussion featuring high-profile lawyer and victim advocate Anne Bremner, Detective Lindsey Wade (Jennifer Bastian case), Gregg Olsen and James Renner exploring cases like Oakley Carlson and Lindsay Baum.
- Sunday, Aug. 3: Conclude the weekend with a presentation by Paranormal Pete at the Olalla Grange (2 p.m.) or a thrilling murder mystery dinner at Olalla Winery (6 p.m.).
