Rice Fergus Miller Architecture, based in Bremerton, has teamed up with Power Trip Energy of Port Townsend for a free, monthly “brown-bag lunch” lecture series starting this month. The discussions, hosted at the Rice Fergus Miller office in downtown Bremerton, will feature various energy topics presented by expert speakers.
The goal is to provide informative sessions and to bring together interested parties from within the community.
“We hope to provide an education and networking opportunity by bringing together environmental and economic development focused individuals to find the common ground, possibly resulting in projects that accomplish both goals,” said RFM’s Shawn Dinkuhn
Each Power Lunch Kitsap! will consist of an in-depth presentation of roughly 45 minutes and 15 minutes for Q&A.
The first speaker, on March 19, will be Jake Wade from Puget Sound Energy presenting on the topic of solar incentives and net metering from PSE. He will discuss the solar policies and incentives of PSE, the largest utility in the state, and present data on the number of grid-tied solar PV systems and the amount of energy they are currently producing.
The March 19 event is from 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. RSVP through Eventbrite.
Future presentations will be scheduled for the third Thursdays through June, over the lunch hour, all as brown-bag events. The next event is on April 16.
