‘Denise Harris: Winter Rails and Tales’
The Bainbridge Island Museum of Art’s latest exhibit, “Denise Harris: Winter Rails and Tales,” is now on display and will remain on view through Feb. 1.
The exhibition is showing off Harris’ miniature model train winter wonderland — a project she’s continued refining over the years. What started as a personal project for her own tree has grown over time — and the final result is, with the exhibit, being shown to the public for the first time.

BIMA is also hosting a series of events to celebrate the upcoming holidays, like its Winter Night Market, which will take place from 4-8 p.m. Dec. 5-6. Shoppers will find goods from local artists, like jewelry, textiles, and treats. Visitors can additionally check out all-ages DIY craft stations, a photo booth, and a warming fire-pit lounge. Drinks will be available for purchase, as well as street food.
