Whether you want to take your doggo on an epic outdoor adventure or just cozy up with a snack on a patio, here are some great spots for you and your furry friend to experience this season.

Raise the PawsHansville Greenway Wildlife Corridor

At the very northernmost end of Kitsap, Hansville Greenway Wildlife Corridor offers a peaceful path that traverses three county parks. The network of trails takes you and your furry friend from the Puget Sound to Hood Canal in an easy 8-mile day hike.

North Kitsap Heritage Park

This park offers 10-plus miles of old logging roads and trails perfect for kids, dogs, and horses. The loops take you through second-growth forests and over boardwalks. It has signposts at major intersections that are color-coded so you always know where you are.

Battle Point Park

Battle Point Park is a former Bainbridge Island naval radio station with an easy 1.5-mile walking trail for a relaxing stroll with your dog. Bonus points for the children’s play areas, a separate horse trail, and peaceful ponds perfect for bird watching.

Raise the PawsBainbridge Park

A long stretch of sandy beach and driftwood for days, Fay Bainbridge Park is the perfect escape for a walk, a romp in the surf or a picnic.

Green Mountain State Forest

With 16-plus miles of hiking trails, this is an epic adventure with your four-legged friend. Green Mountain is the second highest peak on the Kitsap Peninsula, and it comes with views of the Seattle skyline, Puget Sound, and Mount Rainier.

Poulsbo Fish Park

This pet-friendly 40-acre nature park in Poulsbo has 13 trail offerings, including a boardwalk that travels through towering trees and alongside ponds, Dogfish Creek, and more.

Clear Creek Trails

One of the best 8-plus-mile urban trail systems on the Kitsap Peninsula. In the middle of the Silverdale shopping center, the trails follow the salmon-bearing creek and wetlands with observation decks and benches along the way.
