In Washington, there are more than 250,000 boat owners, making the ability of repairing one a much sought-after skill. As part of an on-going series Gig Harbor, master boatbuilder Tom Regan is teaching those interested in learning the art of boat repair each Saturday.

The program takes place at the historic Gig Harbor BoatShop where Regan and participants work on boat building, repair, and restoration skills. Past projects include a 15.8-foot-long Lake George row boat, and two classic Puget Sound motor launches, the A.R. Fisk and the Gaylynn.
