Premier Media Group, parent company of South Sound magazine, recently acquired WestSound magazine, a bimonthly lifestyle publication focused on the people, places, and homes located in the cities of Gig Harbor, Bainbridge Island, Bremerton, Port Orchard, and their surrounding areas on the Kitsap Peninsula.

WestSound Magazine was founded by Lary and Dee Coppola in 2005. Both Coppolas were heavily involved in the communities they covered, with Lary Coppola serving as mayor of Port Orchard, longtime editor and publisher of the Kitsap Business Journal, CEO of the Port of Allyn and a member on the Kitsap County Planning Commission, among other roles. He died at 73 years old in 2023.

“I have known and admired the Coppolas for many years and am honored to help keep the legacy of their work alive,” said Josh Dunn, president of Premier Media Group. “Our goal is to continue to serve WestSound’s coverage area with excellence, just as the Coppolas have now for decades.”

Premier Media Group was founded in 2001 and today operates several print and online publications across the United States, including South Sound, South Sound Business, 425, 425 Business, Meeting News Northwest, Northwest Travel & Life and Southwest Travel & Life magazines.
