Bremerton-based author Sheila Roberts has nearly 50 books in her bibliography and is about to add another.
Her newest work of fiction, “Love on the Shelf,” chronicles the life of Alice Willoughby, who helps run her family-owned bookshop and has a knack for helping others find their love match. But when a particularly aggravating local radio host named Parker Black enters her universe, things suddenly turn upside down.
Readers can expect an enemies-to-lovers narrative that’s packed with plenty of wit and charm.
“Everyone needs a good beach read, right?,” Roberts told West Sound. “I’m hoping my latest fiction offering, “Love on the Shelf,” will be the perfect accompaniment to your favorite drink this summer. I had fun writing this romp about a battle of the sexes with opposing forces led by a radio shock jock and the owner of a romance bookstore. The big question? Are romance novels ruining love or rewriting it? Read the novel and cast your vote.”
“Love on the Shelf” will officially be available for purchase May 26 and will be available through Harper Collins Publishers, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other popular book retailers.
