Oct. 10 marks World Mental Health Day, and Washington’s Department of Natural Resources is encouraging folks to visit a park, free of charge.
People are welcome day-of to visit any land managed by the Department of Natural Resources, Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission, or the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife without a Discover Pass.
Some parks to consider visiting are Deception Pass, Saint Edwards, Squak Mountain, Tolmie, Fort Ebey, Scenic Beach, among others. Sno-parks are excluded.
