Quick homemade sauerkraut (recipe follows) + German whole grain mustard on a ¾ pound brat

Quick Sauerkraut

Ingredients

  • 5 to 6 cups shredded green cabbage (one medium head of cabbage)
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons pepper
  • ½ cup water

Directions

Bring all ingredients to a simmer over medium-high heat for 15 minutes. Voila! Amazing, fresh kraut.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of your favorite mayonnaise
  • ½ cup chopped sundried tomatoes, oil-packed
  • ½ teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

Directions

In a medium bowl whisk together all ingredients. It’s really that easy.
