Each fall, salmon return to local waterways in droves. For those interested in witnessing their great migration, the Washington State University Kitsap Water Stewardship program will be hosting Salmon tours from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 7.
Visit one of eight different streams around Kitsap County to learn all about salmon, their life cycles, and migration with biologists. There will be interactive activities, guided walks, and more, with each site hosting a different activity.
Tour sites include Merle Hayes Salmon Enhancement Center, Poulsbo Fish Park, Clear Creek Ridgetop Pavilion, Chico Salmon Viewing Park, Salmon Haven at Dickerson Creek, Otto Jarstad Park, Rhododendron Preserve – KETA Legacy Foundation, and Chico Creek Estuary.
This event is free and open to the public.
