Grab your broomstick — or, in this case, your paddle — for the fourth annual Gig Harbor Witches Brew on Oct. 24  from 2–5 p.m.

The all-ages event invites costumed witches to the water for an afternoon paddle through Gig Harbor, ending at the lighthouse for a festive toast and group photo. Participants meet at the Gig Harbor boat launch at 2 p.m. and are welcome to paddle at their own pace.

Costumes are highly encouraged, and participants can bring Halloween treats to toss to spectators along the waterfront. The event also supports Gig Harbor Peninsula FISH Food Bank, and attendees are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items or make a donation.

Those planning to attend should be sure to bring a Coast Guard-approved personal flotation device.
