Looking for a last taste of summer color in Kitsap County? The Kitsap Dahlia Society’s public display gardens — at Port Gamble, Silverdale and Bremerton — are still blooming, with some dahlias hanging on until October, weather permitting.
The Kitsap County Dahlia Society has been making the peninsula more beautiful for more than a century.


Several public gardens are still a sight to behold.


One standout is the public garden in Port Gamble, located outside of the historic post office at 4839 View Dr.

The dahlias on display are labeled. See one you love? Write down the name — you may be able to buy it at the tuber sale next April and bring the color home.

  • Bremerton: West Hills Post Office, 200 S. National Avenue
