Airbnb’s new Farm to Stay grant program, offered in partnership with the American Farmland Trust, will provide farmers and ranchers with grants of up to $10,000 to start or expand farm stays and agritourism experiences across the country, according to a company news release shared last week.

Airbnb reported that U.S. searches for “farm stay” have nearly quadrupled over the past decade. The company also reported that the typical farm stay host in Washington earned about $8,100 in 2025.

The new program grants are intended to help farmers prepare properties for overnight guests or develop experiences such as apple picking, wine tasting, farm-to-table dinners, and agricultural workshops.

“Small farms have to find creative ways to remain viable,” Eatonville local and Airbnb host Jeremy Foust said in the release, “and welcoming guests has allowed us to diversify the farm while continuing to produce local food and keep the property in active agriculture.”
