Guests who book an Airbnb during the World Cup in Seattle may be getting more than just a stay.
Airbnb has announced that it will be giving away more than 1,300 tickets to World Cup matches across 16 cities to hosts and guests.
To get free match tickets, guests can search for an Airbnb stay and look for listings that feature a soccer ball icon at the top of the listing page. Once dates, party size, and payment are confirmed, hosts will contact guests with details on how to access the free tickets. Homes with this perk will be released in batches that align with tournament stages, according to Airbnb.
Some guests who have already booked Airbnb stays may receive surprise tickets.
“Airbnb hosts don’t just offer you a place to stay — they provide a more authentic way to experience a destination,” Dave Stephenson, chief business officer of Airbnb, said in an announcement. “And this World Cup, they’re doing something extraordinary: helping fans follow their teams wherever the tournament takes them, with select homes including free tickets in every host city.”
