Gig Harbor’s Maritime Gig Festival is slated to return June 6 and features a weekend lineup of waterfront traditions, live music, and community events centered around a “stars and stripes” theme.

An annual parade will kick off the festival Saturday morning, followed by a full day of entertainment along the harbor. Festival happenings that are returning this year include a classic car show, the old maritime tradition “blessing of the fleet,” and a handful of local vendors that will be set up along the waterfront at Skansie Brothers Park.

Saturday’s music lineup begins with My Guilty Pleasure performing classic rock hits from the 70s through the 90s. Saturday evening, returning crowd favorite The Profits and blues group Kim Archer Band will take to the stage.

Sunday’s performances will feature traditional blues artists Mark Hurwitz and Gin Creek, followed by rock group Mara and the Charm, who will close out the weekend festivities.
