Time travel to the roaring 1920s at this New Orleans jazz den-inspired event by Bainbridge Island Museum of Art titled “Password: Poetry” on Sept. 4.

Upon arriving at the Frank Buxton Auditorium, ticket holders will be required to provide a predetermined password to enter the auditorium, or “speakeasy.” Once inside, guests receive a complimentary glass of champagne and are free to explore the transformed gallery.

Throughout the evening, attendees will hear from local poets like Gentleman Dro and Ms. Taz, among several others. Jazz and blues tunes will provide a musical backdrop in between poets’ sets.

In addition to a cash bar that will be available throughout the night, guests can also purchase bites from Taste of the South, who will be on site serving classic Southern fare.
