The Bremerton-based, best-selling author Sheila Roberts has released her latest book, a holiday tale titled “Have Yourself A Merry Little Meltdown,” which was released last month.

The book follows author Jordan Frost, who scores a book deal on a set of novels based on her own family’s holiday adventures. However, Frost is worried about their reaction if they were to find out the books are based on them.

Simultaneously, as she’s about to return to her small town for the holidays, an old flame has set sights on stepping back into her life. It’s a holiday romance novel that includes family hijinks and second-chance romance that make for a cozy read.

“When I hear the words Happy Holidays, the first thought that comes to mind is spending time with my family. Celebrating this special season with those I love means the world to me. But I did get to wondering what would happen if a writer turned her first novel into a family tell-all, and now that it’s too late is worried she’s going to end up banished forever to the Arctic with nothing to eat but Grandma’s fruitcake. Maybe not even that,” Roberts told West Sound via email. “Happily, no one in my family made it into this book, so I’m looking forward to celebrating its release free of meltdowns. I’m hoping readers will enjoy the antics and holiday romance. And be encouraged by the reminder that forgiveness is always the best gift we can put under the tree.”

“Have Yourself A Merry Little Meltdown” is now available for purchase wherever books are sold.
