Running through June, the seasonal program invites readers, writers, and curious creatives to spend a weekend by the beach connecting with acclaimed authors through intimate readings, Q&A sessions, book signings, and hands-on workshops.

The program kicked off in January with an appearance from chef and cookbook author Chelsea Cole, who discussed shared her passion for home-cooking and storytelling through food. February featured Marissa Meyer, the New York Times-bestselling author who wrote the young adult series “The Lunar Chronicles,” the “Renegades” trilogy, and the novels “Heartless and “Gilded.”

On March 21, rom-com fantasy author Sarah Hawley will be exploring the craft of romance writing with readers. Her viral novel “A Witch’s Guide to Fake Dating a Demon and its follow-up, “A Demon’s Guide to Wooing a Witch,” combine humor, romance, and magical chaos. She also hosts a podcast, “Romancing the Story,” on which she dissects the process of writing romance and fantasy novels.

On April 11, three celebrated children’s authors will take the stage: Martha Brockenbrough, Natasha Tripplett, and Rachel Michelle Wilson. Brockenbrough is an award-winning author whose work spans picture books and middle-grade; young-adult; and adult audiences, including “The Game of Love and Death and “Alexander Hamilton: Revolutionary.” She also is the founder of National Grammar Day.

Tripplett, a Jamaican Jewish American author, writes children’s books focused on identity, culture and belonging. Her work includes the Golden Poppy Award-winning book “Juneteenth Is.” Author-illustrator Wilson will share insights into her humorous storytelling style, including her debut picture book“How to Pee Your Pants: The Right Way,” which received a starred review from Kirkus.
